Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Zentally mobile application and related services (the “Service”) provided by Zentally (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
- Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes
- Use the Service to harass, spam, or defraud other users
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
4. Financial Data Disclaimer
Zentally is an expense tracking and debt management tool. It is not a financial advisor, accounting service, or payment processor. The Service does not:
- Provide financial, tax, or legal advice
- Process payments or transfer money between users
- Guarantee the accuracy of exchange rates or calculations
- Serve as a substitute for professional accounting
Exchange rates are provided by third-party services and may differ from actual bank rates. You are responsible for verifying amounts and settling debts directly with other parties.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create in the Service (expense descriptions, photos, comments). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this content as necessary to provide the Service.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
The Service offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through the App Store or Google Play. Prices may change with advance notice. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
7. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zentally shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zentally from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the process described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zentally operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
